Embedded Engineer

Akua is looking for an ambitious and talented individual to fill the role of Embedded Engineer. In this role you will develop and enhance AKUA IoT products.  The ideal embedded engineer is one with deep C programming expertise, ideally with Linux kernel or RTOS development experience. Typical target hardware has integrated on-board devices (SoC). Technologies include: GPS, GSM, RF, BLE, Shock Burst Radio, and WiFi on ARM based processors. This individual possesses excellent development expertise, and an excellent grasp of the development processes required to produce stable and robust firmware.

Requires strong skills in Embedded C/C++, Linux and ARM. Knowledge of Bluetooth or BLE is a big plus.

Product Technician

The primary function of AKUA Product Technician (PT) is to insure the customer experience exceeds expectations. This includes facilitating the product lifecycle after the sale is made and ensuring customer satisfaction with, and realized value from, their AKUA services. The PT coordinates the procurement, production and delivery, customer use, training and deployment of the AKUA service. Baltimore, MD. Full Stack Developer

An IoT Backend Software Engineer with 4+ years of Java/C++/MongoDB development experience building data intensive applications. Responsible for building our highly distributed multi-protocol AKUA Relay Server with a potential to capture and process massive data sets in real time with data connections from millions of IoT devices and sensors. Hands on design and code development expertise with multiple protocols including TCP Sockets, MQTT and REST required. Experience with real time data ingestion, processing and publishing to secure messaging services for real time visualizations, machine learning connectors and predictive engines is helpful. San Francisco Bay Area or Baltimore, MD.
